This gold pendant has been fabricated with filigree openwork, beaded granulation, and several loops around the perimeter and interior which once attached gems. These characteristics, along with its crescent (hilal) shape, are typical of jewelry from the Fatimid Period (909–1171). A cloisonné panel, which has been lost, would originally have embellished the front side of this pendant (akin to 30.95.37).
