The Atelier with Alina Cho Launches New
Season with Diane von Furstenberg

(New York, October 8, 2015)— The Atelier with Alina Cho series will launch its second season with Diane von Furstenberg, Founder and Chairman of DVF, in conversation with Atelier host and journalist Alina Cho on Wednesday, December 2, at 6:30 p.m.  

Cho’s series at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in its prior, inaugural season, presented candid conversations about the fashion industry and the arts with visionary thinkers Anna Wintour, Donatella Versace, and Alber Elbaz.  

The Atelier is part of the 2015-16 season of Met Museum Presents, the live arts series at the Metropolitan Museum, which offers dynamic talks and groundbreaking performances. 
 
In 1970, Diane von Furstenberg founded her brand and four years later created the wrap dress, which came to symbolize power and independence for an entire generation of women, and is also in The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection. Today, DVF is a global luxury lifestyle brand. In 2014, von Furstenberg published a memoir, The Woman I Wanted to Be, and in 2015 she was named one of the TIME 100 Most Influential People.  She is also is Chairman of the CFDA. 

Alina Cho is currently Editor-at-Large at Ballantine Bantam Dell, responsible for acquiring and co-editing books in the fashion and lifestyle space. Cho was previously National Correspondent at CNN and host of “Fashion: Backstage Pass.”

This event takes place in The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium.

Tickets include admission to the Museum on day of performance.
