Metropolitan Museum Announces 2007 Schedule for Met Holiday Mondays

The main building of The Metropolitan Museum of Art – located at Fifth Avenue and 82nd Street in Manhattan – will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the following Met Holiday Mondays in 2007:

February 19 (Presidents' Day)
May 28 (Memorial Day)
July 2 (Independence Day Holiday)
September 3 (Labor Day)
October 8 (Columbus Day)

On these special Holiday Mondays – which are the only Mondays that the Museum is open during the year – family greeters wearing red aprons in the Museum's Great Hall will be available to direct visitors to areas of particular interest. A schedule of family activities planned for each Holiday Monday is available on the Museum's Web site (www.metmuseum.org).

A different selection of galleries and exhibitions will be open each Holiday Monday, along with several of the Museum's cafes and gift shops.

Met Holiday Mondays are sponsored by Bloomberg.
