The Met is both setting and springboard for this concert. The "magnificently energetic" (New York Times) Irish composer Donnacha Dennehy has created Surface Tension, a new work written for and inspired by the Museum's percussion collection. The performance is by Third Coast Percussion, the Chicago-based ensemble known for its groundbreaking collaborations and hard-driving style. The musicians return to the Met for what's sure to be a vibrant evening of superb music.
