구름 무늬 용문 경전함
영락 황제 재위 시 제작된 자기 및 칠기, 그밖의 다양한 소재로 제작된 작품에는 강건한 형상의 용문양이 자주 묘사되었습니다. 중국에서 두루마리에 적은 불교 경전을 보관하기 위해 만든 이처럼 우아한 함은 궁정에서 사용하기 위해 제작되었으며,특히 외교적인 선물로 티베트에 기증되곤 하였습니다. 당시의 조칠기는 다수 전해지지만 옻칠 표면에 새긴 패턴을 금 또는 금색 안료로 채워 넣는 상감 기법을 사용하여 장식한 경전함의 예는 흔치 않습니다. 금속 자물쇠가 현재까지 보존된 것도 드문 예입니다.
