이탈리아에서 제작되었으며 독특하게도 넓은 5옥타브 범위의 하프시코드가 동봉된 도금 케이스로 로마 바로크 장식 예술의 최고작 중 하나로 평가되고 있습니다. 이 악기는 로마에 위치한 토디니의 갤러리아 아모니카(악기 박물관)의 악기 중 하나로 제작되었으며 토디니의 1676년 책자에 설명되어 있습니다. 백파이프를 연주하는 폴리페모스의 측면 모습과 깜짝 놀란 갈라테이아의 모습은 무대장치의 배경 앞 하프시코드와 함께 전시되었을 것입니다. 폴리페모스는 오르간 파이프가 숨겨져 있는 “산” 위에 앉아 있는데 마치 그가 들고 있는 백파이프에서 소리가 나는 것처럼 보입니다. 토디니의 독창성은 똑같은 음악 풍조에서 발전해나가 1700년 피아노를 발명하기에 이르렀습니다.
