풍선기구 기념물

열기구의 첫 번째 비행 성공은 1783년에 몽골피에 형제가 성취하였습니다. 단지 10분밖에 뜨지 않았지만 널리 알려졌습니다. 그해 말까지 프랑스 국왕은 그 행사에 기념품을 제안하였습니다. 클로디옹은 이 임무를 위해 경쟁을 했던 7명의 재능 있는 조각가 중 한 명이었습니다. 그의 공상적 공중 로코코 비행(푸토들이 명예의 안내를 받고 바람의 신 아이올로스에 의해 밀려 풍선을 띄우려고 건초 묶음을 쌓아 올린다)은 대리석에서 상상하기에는 힘듭니다. 열기구 놀이가 흔해지게 된 이후에 이 프로젝트는 무산되어 버렸습니다.
