드레스
1866년까지 양옆으로 극히 넓었던 스커트의 볼륨감이 뒷면 중앙으로 이동했으며 다양하게 장식되기 시작하였습니다. 때로는 유사한 볼륨감을 내기 위해 별도의 오버스커트를 겹치기도 하였습니다. 그 후 수 년간, 스커트를 지지하는 말털 또는 면 크리놀린 후프의 측면 폭이 현저히 줄어들어 그 정면 실루엣이 직선에 가깝게 변해 갔습니다. 1860년대 실루엣이 남아 있는 이 드레스에서 다음 20년간 유행할 버슬(스커트의 뒷자락을 부풀게 하기 위해 사용)을 예고하는 세부를 뒷면에서 볼 수 있습니다.
