I have not seen a butterfly around here : children's drawings and poems from Terezín

Not on view

First published in 1959, this collection of art and poetry was created by children who lived in Theresienstadt between 1942 and 1944. They were taught art in secret classes given by Austrian artist and educator Friedl Dicker-Brandeis. Their art was compiled after the war by Czech art historian Hana Volavková.
