Batō Kannon, a wrathful emanation of Amida Buddha, is worshipped as a protective force within the ritual environment of Esoteric Buddhism. Sculptures and paintings of the compassionate forms of Kannon, which are more commonly represented, can be seen in this gallery and the next.
