This is the third of Charles Dickens' Christmas books about the Peerybingle family. This richly ornamented design features a gold cartouche encircling the title with ribbons supporting children's toys and a fruit cornucopia. A large English holly branch behind the title plane balances the composition. The holiday foliage extends to the endpapers with a holly and mistletoe snowflake pattern signed WJW.
