Riddle Ma Riddle as I Suppose: Riddles from the Sea Islands, South Carolina is a witty and complex production, printed from wood type in multiple impressions utilizing several colors of ink. The book must be "opened" entirely to read much of the text, which is comprised of traditional folk-riddles from the South Carolina Sea Islands. This was the third and final title in a series of "Negro riddle" books, begun with Riddles (1997) and Riddle Book 2 (2000).
