A hardy tweed is combined with masculine tailoring and the Highland accessory of the sporran (hirsute pouch worn at center front) for Schiaparelli's counterpart to a formidable Scottish warrior. Schiaparelli's spring and summer dresses were of utmost delicacy; her fall wardrobe was the opposite. Rugged fabrics for fall and exacting tailoring possessed a military meticulousness.
