Not on view

In the early 1940s Adrian developed dramatic abstract patterns that had no antecedents in his Hollywood costumes. The bodice of this dress reveals a geometric pattern that emerges from the construction of the garment. Its symmetry contrasts nicely with the large circle that is placed slightly off-center on the full skirt.
