Not on view
View of a snow-covered farm seen from across the road: a grey farm house with pitched roof (enclosed by a fence) is at the right; a barn and shed define the farmyard at the left. In the central foreground, a man and dog stand beside a dark horse hitched to a sleigh on the road outside a closed red gate. Within the farmyard, a cow stands to the left of the open doorway of the barn; in the doorway a man with a bowl feeds chickens gathered in the yard. To right of center, near the house, a lad pauses from chopping wood. A large tree stands besides the road at right. In the background are snow-covered fields, woods, and mountains.
