Not on view

One of a set of eight aquatints devoted to posting houses on the main road from London to Brighthelmstone (Brighton), together with attractions of the seaside resort, this print shows the George Inn with an auction for horses is being held outside. Related text notes that "Crawley,–31 miles from London, is the first Town in Sussex, which we visited; but not meeting anything here particularly worthy of Notice, continued our Route 'till we arrived at Cuckfield,--40 miles distant from London."
