Seventh plate of album with 20 pochoir pattern plates, titled "Samarkande: 20 Compositions en couleurs dans le Style oriental" (Samarkand: 20 Color Compositions in the Oriental Style), created by E. A. Séguy and published in Paris by Charles Massin around 1914, presenting an ornamental design, probably for textiles or wallpapers, with semi-abstract flower motifs, inspired on the Oriental styles created by the artists of Samarkand. The design consists of alternating rows of semi-abstract, Orientalist trees, made up of overlapping scales, colored with dark gray, flanked by thin, scrolling, blue branches with small, white leaves, standing on a trunk made up of overlapping, eye-shaped motifs, colored with dark red, blue, and gray, framed by two thin, scrolling lines with offsetting thorns, and with two large, exotic birds, colored with dark red and light blue, and with small, black spots, standing on them, on a grayish-blue ground.
