28th plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a costume for an Andalusian bride, made up of a white taille with ruffled cuffs and gold embroideries in the bust, front, shoulders and sleeves, and a calf-length flounce skirt with gold embroideries, half-covered by a white over-skirt, shorter on one hip, and decorated on this side by a bundle of hanging ribbons of different colors: purple, orange, green, and blue. She wears a golden headdress, possibly some type of Peine, from which hangs a white lace Mantilla that is wrapped around her head and neck, decotated behind her ear by a large jeweled brooch. She wears white stockings and low-heels with golden details on the front.
