A large etching executed and published by Borgianni, and dedicated to Borgianni's friend Juan de Lezcano, secretary to the Spanish ambassador in Rome. As the inscription on the plate states, the etching is based on a painting of the same subject Borgianni had executed for Lezcano, probably around 1615. For more on the relation between Borgianni and Lezcano see Antonio Vannugli, "Orazio Borgianni, Juan de Lezcano, and a 'Martyrdom of St Lawrence' at Roncesvalles", The Burlington Magazine, 140, 1998, pp. 5-15
