Interior of an Octagonal Room (Stage Design?)

Tranquillo Orsi Italian

Not on view

Design for an octagonal room with a large dome and sculptures and niches designed by the Venetian professor of perspective Tranquillo Orsi. During the early 19th century, Orsi worked on the interior of the Teatro la Fenice in Venice. This design is possibly a stage set for that theater.
