Not on view

Plate 4 of a series of six plates representing portes cocheres and church doors. This design is characterized by a double door within a round arch and a play of ovals. First are the horizontal ovals at the top of the doors. They are surmounted by winged mascarons of children, and are framed by consoles and a garland. The second important ovals are placed vertically within a rectangular frame and decorated with vegetation. Lastly, the bottom part of the doors are octogonal in shape but are oblong as to resemble ovals.
