Designer Pavel Opocenský Czech

Not on view

In the early 1980s Pavel Opocenský began carving ivory, ebony, and eventually stone. Later he transferred his carving, drilling, and filing skills to ColorCore®, a plastic made of layered color laminate. The design of this piece incorporates delicacy and transparency even though the material suggests hardness and opacity.
