Dryad

Dryad is a fragment of Centaur and Dryad (MMA 14.61) and is hollow in the back. Part of the centaur's right hand can be seen under the dryad's right breast. Her right arm is missing just below the shoulder and her legs have been truncated, the left one at midthigh and the right one below the knee. Dryad was bequeathed to The Met by the widow of former director Edward Robinson.
