Lion Pricket Candlestick
Not on view
This portable three-light candelabrum in the form of a lion is unique, though it stands firmly in the Lower Saxon tradition of leonine works cast in copper alloy. The large central pricket that dominates the work is a modern restoration, and the ring on the underside of the beast is a later addition, perhaps to allow it to be secured with a chain.
