A view of the earthwork fortification called Fort Fish, built in upper Manhattan in 1814 (near the present 105th Street and East Drive, in New York's Central Park). A cannon is shown at right, with a guard on duty, the fort in the middle distance and a house beyond and at left. American flags fly near the cannon and in the fort.
