Not on view

The design for this scarf was inspired by antique playing cards, probably from the Brooklyn Museum collection. Vera Neumann printed her designs on scarves, clothing and home furnishings in her studio and print shop in New York. The hand-done quality of the design is reflected in the broken lines, which also lend a sense of the original antique cards used as inspiration. There are two other scarves of this design in the Brooklyn Museum collection in different color ways.
