Designer Norma Kamali American

Not on view

This day dress is one of the most significant Norma Kamali designs made using sweatshirt fabric. The appropriation of athletic material is reminiscent of Chanel's use of underwear knits in her early designs. The shape of the garment is evocative of the cocoon coats of the 1910s.
