Moira Gallagher is a former research associate for decorative arts in The American Wing. Since arriving at The Met in 2014, Moira contributed to exhibitions, installations, and publications related to the arts of the American Aesthetic movement, including Artistic Furniture of the Gilded Age (2015), which debuted the newly installed Worsham-Rockefeller Dressing Room accompanied by new research on the cabinetmaker George A. Schastey. She received her BA in art history from James Madison University and her MA in the history of decorative arts from George Mason University-The Smithsonian Associates.
