Andrea Bayer

Andrea Bayer, Jayne Wrightsman Curator in the Department of European Paintings, received her PhD from Princeton University in 1990, and has been on the staff of The Met since that time. She has worked on a wide range of exhibitions including Unfinished: Thoughts Left Visible, the inaugural exhibition at The Met Breuer. She has been a curator in the department since 2007, and, in 2014, became the Jayne Wrightsman Curator. Outside the department she has also coordinated the Curatorial Studies program at New York University's Institute of Fine Arts and is the co-chairman of the Director's Exhibition Committee.
