Not on view

An unusual binding for its simplicity and lack of ornament. What remains characteristic of Armstrong’s work is the central, rectilinear plane. The repeated air balloon motif refers to the plot, in which a yacht is pulled off course by a hot air balloon carrying a watchmaker and his wife.
