Jacket
Not on view
This Kabuki-bold bomber jacket confers a vivid image of Japan. Its symbols are confirmed by an interior map of Japan and South Korea. The sites chosen and the bomber-jacket style suggest that this jacket was made for American personnel stationed in Asia in the 1950s. The apparel of visitors may not always grasp the nuances of place. Rather, they may constitute a touristic cliché.
