Nephew of Muhammad Osman Khan

Claude-André Deseine French

Not on view

Osman Khan’s nephew, brought to France as part of the Mysore embassy, is dressed relatively simply. With no needlework decoration, sword belt, or full beard (only the hint of a mustache), his is a youthful portrait compared with his uncle’s.
