Buchinger Family Tree

Matthias Buchinger German

Not on view

This family tree shows off Buchinger’s precision with a quill and his adeptness in creating elaborate cutouts. It also triumphantly announces Buchinger’s lawful marriage to four wives in three countries and notes his fourteen children, born between 1702 and 1729 in places as disparate as Oltenburgh (Oldenburg), Nottingham, Zurich, London, Belfast, Cork, and Dublin, among others (see image).
