Unnumbered plate with the Remains of the Baths of Caracalla, with two figures in the foreground at left. This image appears below plate 37, Part of the Baths of Caracalla. This pair of plates is one of only a few examples in the volume where the two half-page images on a single sheet both show a view of a Roman building (the majority of unnumbered bottom images depict ancient sculpture and bas-reliefs). These two images appear facing page 67, the second page of text describing the Baths of Caracalla. The preceding plate 36 (Plan of the Baths of Caracalla) also relates to this thermae.
