Jug with twisted handle

British

On view at The Met Cloisters in Gallery 10

The twisted handle, beaklike spout, and applied vertical ribs distinguish this partially glazed jug. The turning marks on the interior of the neck are remarkably fresh. The bottom is slightly convex, making the jug somewhat unstable.
