Necklace of Hapiankhtifi
Middle Kingdom
One of the complete burial groups excavated at Meir belonged to the Steward Hapiankhtifi. When the mummy was unwrapped numerous objects were discovered: a model dagger and sheath, two mirrors, a bat amulet, jewelry, and a ceremonial flail. The necklace here is made out of obsidian ball beads that are capped in silver.
