Designer William Daley American
Not on view
Daley is best known for his monumental, architectonic "floor pots," the forms of which are inspired by European cathedrals and the rock-carved facades of Petra in Jordan. To build these massive vessels, he rolls slabs of clay over an armature of Styrofoam for support. After firing them, he leaves the sculptures unglazed so they retain an earthly color. Note: A3.
