Elegantly designed but inexpensive to produce (and probably quite welcome in the days before air-conditioning), chic paper fans, styled to look like fashion illustrations, were widely used as advertising tools. This fan promotes Maison Prunier, a fashionable seafood restaurant that opened in Paris in 1925.
