Bracelets like these were worn in pairs by Kabyle women in Algeria. Jewels made by the Kabyle culture are readily identifiable by the vibrantly colored enamels in blue, red, and yellow. Red coral is commonly found in Berber (Amazigh) jewelry across North Africa, though imitation gems in glass or plastic are also common substitutes for precious stones.
