Not on view

Four "Pepper and Mustard" dogs lie by a fire next to the shoes, knife and wooden stool of their absent master. The scene takes place in a rough country abode in the Scottish highlands. Based on a painting of 1829, presented to the Nation by J. Sheepshanks in 1857.
