Vase
Designed by Louis C. Tiffany American
Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company American
This large-scale, baluster-shaped, golden iridescent vase with a lily-pad design was displayed in Tiffany's award-winning exhibit at the Paris Exposition Universelle of 1900. His participation in this fair was a triumph, gaining him international renown and clientele. Critics raved about his art glass in particular. The size, shape, color, and texture of the vase, which was later owned by Tiffany's sister, make it a remarkable example of Tiffany's best work.
