Xie Zhiliu Chinese

Not on view

In May of 1988, Xie went to Jinan in Shandong province to participate in the authentication of paintings and calligraphy housed in the collections of that region. In June he climbed nearby Mount Tai, the "Sacred Peak of the East," a site of great cultural and historical significance. This poem was most likely composed on that occasion.
