Depicting of a lidded urn with two handles marked by the figure of Fortuna on the top of the lid. The body of the vase is divided in three tiers. In t he top frieze a sacrificial scene is depicted, while the second tallest relief shows putti supporting an abundant garland and a depiction of the Capitoline wolf raising Romulus and Remus. The bottom frieze is decorated with Gadroons. From a series of vase designs after the Antique, first published by Enea Vico in 1543, and later included in a composite series with other designs by Agostino Veneziano by Antonio Lafreri dated circa 1573 based on its presence in Lafreri’s catalogue.
