Recto: The halt of the Australian Camel Patrol in Egypt, from 11AM until 3PM. The camels are unsaddled and the men are sleeping beneath bivouacs made with blankets stretched over rifles with bayonets fixed in the ground.
Verso: Austrian jazz musician Benno Schonberger plays at grand piano, while Dr. William Murray, son of Sir James Murray, who was then Chairman of the Aberdeen Art Gallery Committee, and his wife listen.
