The Met Breuer: Year One

A look at The Met Breuer in celebration of its first year as The Met's newest location, providing additional space—on Madison Avenue at 75th Street—for visitors to explore the art of the 20th and 21st centuries through the global breadth and historical reach of the Museum's unparalleled collection.

Award-winning conservation of Marcel Breuer's landmark 1966 building was followed by groundbreaking exhibitions that included Unfinished: Thoughts Left Visible, Nasreen Mohamedi, Diane Arbus: In the Beginning, and Kerry James Marshall: Mastry, as well as a yearlong performance residency by musician and artist Vijay Iyer.

Amenities include Flora Bar, a lively restaurant with a downtown vibe set on the Museum's lower level, and The Met Store, with an emphasis on the contemporary and an array of home decor.

Current and upcoming must-see exhibitions explore the work of artists Marisa Merz, Marsden Hartley, Lygia Pape, Ettore Sottsass, and Edvard Munch.
