Not on view

Marie-Thérèse Walter, in profile at left, watches over this curious scene of a young man partially hidden by a bull's mask sitting next to another figure, who is completely hidden by the mask of a drunken faun. It has been speculated that the figure behind the faun is the old sculptor from Picasso's Vollard Suite, thus supporting a recurring theme in his work: youth and virility versus age and impotency.
