Stamped inscriptions indicate the month (Panamos) the amphora was made, the name of the magistrate (Pythogenes) in office at the time, and the name of the amphora's maker (Hephaistion).

Left handle: ἐ[πι Πυ]θογενεῦς Δευτέρου Πανάμου

Right handle: Ήφαιστίωνος

A typical Rhodian amphora with stamps on the upper parts of the handles, giving the maker’s name and the date of manufacture.
