K–12 EDUCATOR PROGRAM

Summer Institute: Connecting Collections

Fee: $25 application fee; $475 tuition (includes instruction, materials, and lunch)

Learn techniques for analyzing and interpreting modern and contemporary art in New York City's premier art museums. This week-long institute (July 812) for educators of grades 312 (all subject areas) is cohosted by The Met, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. 

Participants will:
  • Learn and apply object-based teaching strategies.
  • Build confidence incorporating modern and contemporary art into lesson plans.
  • Utilize great works of art as forums for interdisciplinary investigations.
