33rd plate of album with 60 19th-century costume plates and 1 drawing of mostly women's historical costumes, featuring a variety of designs for traditional costumes from different parts of the world, as well as costumes for literary characters, including Esmeralda. This plate consists of a costume for Vert-Vert, made up of a gilet, a jacket and a pleated, calf-length skirt, all made with a silky, green fabric with pink highlights, and stockings, shoes, hat, and cape of matching colors. The jacket is decorated with small, white-and-gold rosettes, and the cape is lined with dark blue; the shoes have bows of the same color. She wears a white lace kerchief around her neck, and the cuffs of the jacket have matching white lace ruffles. Her hands and arms are covered with white gloves.
