Plate 1 of a series of designs of silversmithing and goldsmithing. Drawings of boxes made for the Ambassadors of Siam. This plate, also the title plate, shows a curved shape filled with a symetrical arrangement of scrolls and flowers. At the center is a bird facing left. There are two other birds interspersed in the scrolls at the top of the design.
